Years of Florida sun and rain fade paver color unevenly, and repairs or replacement pavers rarely match the surrounding field. Rusty's Pro Wash & Seal offers professional paver tinting and staining to restore uniform, rich color before applying a premium two-part water-based urethane sealer. Whether you want to bring back the original tone or change your pavers to a completely new color, we handle the full process — cleaning, color application, and sealing — in one visit.

Why Tint or Stain Your Pavers?

Concrete pavers lose pigment over time from UV exposure, foot traffic, and pressure washing. The fade is rarely uniform — high-traffic areas and sun-exposed sections fade faster than shaded corners, leaving a blotchy, inconsistent look. Tinting restores a uniform, richer tone across the entire surface. It's also the go-to solution when patched or replacement pavers don't match the surrounding field, or when a homeowner simply wants to update their outdoor space with a completely different color without the cost of replacing the pavers themselves.

Semi-Transparent Tint vs. Solid Color

We offer semi-transparent color additives that enhance and enrich the paver's existing tone while still allowing the paver's natural texture and slight variation to show through — this is the most popular option because it looks natural rather than painted. We also offer solid color options for homeowners who want a more dramatic, uniform color change regardless of the paver's original shade. Take a look at our available tint colors below.

Our Tinting Process

We start with a full pressure wash and, if needed, a chemical strip to remove any old sealer or coating so the tint bonds properly. Once the surface is clean and dry, we apply the chosen semi-transparent tint or solid color evenly across the paver field, then seal everything with a premium commercial-grade two-part water-based urethane sealer in your choice of Natural, Mid-Gloss, Gloss, or High-Gloss finish — see our Paver Sealing page for finish details. The result is a uniformly colored, protected surface that looks freshly installed.

How Long Does Tinted Sealer Last?

Tinted sealer typically lasts 2–4 years, similar to a standard clear seal, though high-traffic areas like driveways may need touch-ups sooner. We recommend re-sealing every 2–3 years to keep the color vibrant and the surface protected.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us

Will paver tinting look natural, or will it look painted?
Our semi-transparent tints enhance the paver's existing color and texture rather than covering it, so the result looks like a richer, more uniform version of your pavers — not a painted surface.
Can you match new pavers to old, faded ones?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons homeowners request tinting. We can blend patched or replacement pavers into the surrounding field so the color matches throughout.
How long does the color last?
Typically 2–4 years before a touch-up is recommended, depending on traffic and sun exposure.
Do I need to seal after tinting?
Yes. The tint is always sealed with a premium two-part water-based urethane sealer, which protects the color and adds your chosen sheen level.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Rusty's Pro Wash & Seal (J&R Lowrey LLC) is fully licensed and insured in the state of Florida.
